A special message to our customers
and friends from David Cameron
Over the past four years, my staff and I at
Highlander Insurance Services have worked hard to care for
our customers with quality service at competitive rates.
For some time I have been in discussion with my good friend
and colleague Robbie Ownbey at Robert Ownbey Insurance Group
about combining our two operations. We have decided to go
ahead with the merger. The combined agency will have greater
resources and provide a better opportunity to meet the needs
of our customers.
We will operate under the umbrella of ROBERT
OWNBEY INSURANCE GROUP effective immediately. Kathy and I
will continue to assist you as we have in the past. Our telephone
number (828 274-2122) will still be available. However, we
will have a new main phone line at 828-665-2531 and our FAX
number has changed to 828-665-2530. Our office locations are
combined to 9 Asbury Road, Suite 202 (a Candler address, Zip
28715), which is central to the location of our collective
group of customers. This is a new location for Robbie and
his staff as well. Together we can provide much better support.
Robbie and Robert Ownbey Insurance have served
insurance needs in our community for over five years and have
an excellent reputation. This was an important consideration
in making our decision. In addition, Robbie and I are very
similar in our approach and attitude toward taking care of
you our customers.
Your patronage has been, and continues to be,
extremely important to us. Robbie and I will do everything
we can to make this a smooth transition for you. Please let

We are conveniently located close to Interstate
40 and are also within easy reach of Interstate
26.
FROM
I-40:
Heading West from Asheville, Black Mountain, I-26,
Arden, take exit 44.
The exit ramp ends at a traffic light. Turn right at
the light onto Smoky Park Highway. Turn right at the
fourth light onto Asbury Road. (This is known locally
as the Enka light.) There will be a gas station on the
corner. Our office is in a two story store building
on the left. The stairs are on the left. We are up the
stairs and in the first office on the left.
Note: If you are headed East on I-40 (coming
from Waynes-ville, Canton, Candler, take exit
44 as above, turn right at the light
onto Smoky Park Highway. Continue on to the third
light, which will be a right turn on to
Asbury Road.

From either direction, Take the exit to I-40 West.
